Amber Throne Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026 · Last updated 16 October 2026
This policy covers Amber Throne, the Android game published by TotalDogWater Entertainment (package com.totaldogwatergaming.amberthrone). The short version: your progress never leaves your device, and the only things that collect data are the ad service and Google Play, which handles purchases.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing. TotalDogWater Entertainment operates no servers for this game, has no accounts or sign-in, and runs no analytics. We never receive your progress, your device identifiers, or any personal information.
What is stored on your device
Your progress (levels won, coins, lives, restored areas, settings, and your answer to the ad consent question) is saved in a single file in the game's own app folder on your device. We never see it, and uninstalling the game deletes it.
If you have Android's own backup turned on, Android may include that app data in your device or Google account backup. That is a feature of Android and is controlled in your device settings. We do not receive it.
Advertising
Amber Throne never forces an ad on you. It has two optional rewarded videos only, and you see one only if you press the button for it: one gives you an extra life when you are out of lives, and the other gives you 5 extra moves when you are out of moves. There are no full-screen ads between levels and no banner ads.
The ads are served through Google AdMob, the ad service of Google LLC, using the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
To serve and measure those ads, AdMob collects information from your device. That typically includes your Android advertising ID, IP address (from which it can work out your approximate location), device model and operating system version, and how the ad was displayed and interacted with. It may use it for interest-based advertising if you have agreed to that (see below) and have not limited ad tracking on your device. Google, not TotalDogWater Entertainment, controls that data and what is done with it. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses data from apps that use its ad services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and turn off ad personalisation, in Settings, Privacy, Ads on Android.
Consent to personalised advertising
The first time you start the game it asks, before any ad is requested, whether the ads may use your advertising ID to pick ones meant for you. Your answer is stored on your device and applied to every ad request. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland or another place where the law asks for it, Google's consent form (the Google User Messaging Platform) also appears before any ad is requested, and you can change that choice at any time from the game's privacy options. You can change your answer to the game's own question there as well. Saying no does not limit the game; the ads are just not chosen for you.
Purchases
The game offers in-app purchases: amber packs, booster bundles, a starter bundle, and a heart refill and 5 extra moves that can be bought instead of watching a video. They are made through Google Play, which handles your payment details; we never see or store them. Google tells the game that a purchase went through. Google's privacy policy covers what it collects.
Network access and permissions
The game itself plays offline. The network is used only for ad requests and for Google Play purchases. The game declares the internet and network-state permissions, the Google Play billing permission, and the advertising ID (AD_ID) permission so that ads and purchases can work. It asks for no permission that you need to approve: no location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or storage access. Nothing else in the game sends or receives data.
Children
Amber Throne is not directed to children under 13, and Google Play lists it for ages 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the game serves advertising, families should be aware that the ad service receives device information as described above. If you believe a child has provided information through the advertising in this game, contact us and we will help you raise it with Google.
Your choices and deleting your data
You can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off ad personalisation in your device settings at any time. No level requires watching an ad, and nothing requires a purchase. We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete; to remove the game's saved progress, uninstall the game, or open Android Settings, Apps, Amber Throne, Storage, and choose Clear storage. For data held by the ad service, use the controls described in Google's privacy policy above.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects this policy, the updated policy is posted at this address with a new date above.
